Our first story comes from Australia, where a man named Luke Aikins set an astonishing world record by jumping out of an airplane from 25,000 feet without a parachute and landing safely on a net. We can only imagine how his parachute instructor must be feeling right now. Probably something along the lines of "What the heck just happened?!"
Next up, we have a story about a woman in China who became stranded for three days on a giant unicorn floating in the middle of a pool. Yes, you heard that right- a giant unicorn. She reportedly fell asleep while hanging out on the inflatable floatie and woke up to find that it had drifted to the center of the pool. Talk about a "What the heck?!" moment.
Moving on to our next story, we have an epic tale of revenge that took place in Iowa. A man named Joseph Leo Sjoberg was upset with his local sheriff's department after he was arrested for drug charges, so he decided to get back at them by mailing them a box of cow poop. Yes, you heard that right- cow poop. Needless to say, the sheriff's department was probably thinking "What the heck?!" when they received that package in the mail.
Next up, we have a hilarious story about a group of nuns in Italy who decided to sell homemade jams and sweets to raise funds for their convent. Nothing unusual about that, right? Except for the fact that their marketing strategy was to pose for some rather risqué photos with their products. We bet their customers were definitely thinking "What the heck?!" when they saw those photos.
Finally, we have a story that is sure to make you chuckle. Apparently, a man in New York managed to get out of paying a parking ticket by writing a pretty hilarious poem that basically begged for forgiveness. The poem, which was titled "Ode to a Meter Maid," was so clever that the parking ticket judge actually dismissed the fine. Now, that's what we call a "What the heck?!" moment.
Well, that's all for today's episode of "What the heck?!". We hope we made you laugh and forget about your worries for a little while. Remember, life is too short to take everything seriously and sometimes, all you need is a good laugh to get through the day. Until next time, this is your host signing off.
