The reason Ted has become such a beloved and respected leader is that his real interest in the well-being of all people, and that includes the Principals, Assistants and each single player.
Ted Lasso is a great leader because he is kind, he is meritocratic, he attacks his people and surrounds himself with people who will expose his blind spots. He is a natural person and I guarantee you that he has learned that lesson through years of working with, not with, leaders. You see, Ted is an everyman, which not only makes him familiar with English football, but also has a deep and profound understanding of human nature, and in particular how it applies to the creation of a team culture.
Although I'm not someone who's on the hunt for economics lessons in comedic dramas, Ted Lasso reminded me of what good leadership looks like in the Apple TV original Rants and Raves, which won seven Emmys, and why he later coached the English football team at AFC Richmond. After decades of studying and emulating the workings of leaders, I enjoy watching him in action as a fictitious leader, an example of how these teachings can be applied to our daily lives. Today I will talk about some of the lessons that founders, managers and professionals can learn from a show like Lasso.
Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, a folksy and upbeat American football coach who moved to Britain to run a Premier League football team, has more to say about leadership than you might think. His demeanour and approach to coaching includes some great insights into what it means to be a good leader and how to trust people. His positivity and belief that everything will be good in the end have a tangible impact on his team and that can also affect your team. If you're one of the many fans of the show who haven't watched, Ted Lasso has more or less everything to think about.
I met one of those people we know will change us forever after watching Ted Lasso's first season on AppleTV. It's the story of a little American football coach hired to transform a professional football team in England, even though he had no experience as a football coach, which debuted on Apple TV + in August 2020.
Lasso takes the time to listen to the people around him and puts himself in their shoes so that he can understand them better. Coach Lasso looks at the whole team, not just the starting line-up, he listens to Nate as an outfielder and Ted listens to his suggestions and acts on them. D-I Guide to the First Season With a few spoilers follows a breakdown of the top five leadership teachings of Ted Lasso and his assistant coach Beard Hunt, as well as team owners Rebecca Welton and Hannah Waddingham.
Ted Lasso may not know much about football, but he knows people, and he is able to motivate his team and inspire him to succeed. Even when his team is relegated to a lower league, he remains focused on the relationship between his team and the individuals, with a sense that everyone is at their best and that collective performance is improving.
You can't run a football team without being a good manager, which means being open to hear from other people about how to improve things. When I work with teams at all levels of leadership, I understand that it can be difficult to get people to change.
When I saw the show, I could only think that the world would be a better place if everyone integrated one or two of Ted Lasso's qualities into their lives. Although he showed many concepts, one of the main concepts was that curiosity, not judgment, is an essential part of being as someone who shows empathy for others. You will notice that there are no other experts or outstanding players in this list, because Lasso has shown us that technical stuff is meaningless compared to other things.
In a high-stakes game in which the two teams meet, selfish player Jamie Tartt scored the winning goal with a selfless pass, but Ted had coached him countless times in vain. Ted Lasso for Nate to empower the team : He got the team to talk to the players in ways that Nate would never have dreamed of if he had been left to his own devices.
Lasso is an American college football coach hired to lead a football and football team in England's Premier League, the highest and most competitive football league in the world. The new Apple TV series, a comedy by and starring Jason Sudeikis , about Ted, a football coach who was invited to England to coach a Premier League team, involves the new Apple TV series, "Ted Lasso". Lasso has no experience in European football but is hired by a departing owner to manage the struggling Premier League teams.
