Crossing the Atlantic into the Caribbean, you'll see sorrel drinks with orange and cinnamon sticks. I've seen recipes soaked in hibiscus flowers in hot water, sugar and maybe some orange. Sobolo can include dried chillies to give the whole thing a kick, but I haven't seen it in detail in various West African countries.
This is a common street drink sold in various parts of Accra, and from what I have seen in the descriptions of this drink, there are many variations.
The best thing about this lime liqueur, like any other tropical drink, is that it is really healthy. I also have a post about a special drink called sobolo, but this is a prime example of a healthy tropical drink. There's a great ginger pineapple drink I got while living in Philadelphia in the Caribbean.
