If you can empty your boat crossing the rivers of the world, nobody opposes you, nobody tries to hurt you. I wonder if you would take a chance on looking like a fool, for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive. I want to know if you can stand by yourself, if you really enjoy the company you keep in empty moments. I want to know what you long for, and if you would dream about meeting the desires of your heart.

Great artists are pioneering visual albums, refining surprise drops, stretching out running times however long they like, and they are not reliant on the physical media anymore. Great artists always want to make works that stretch their vision, and in the 2010s, they found new ways to propel LPs forward.
These songs are so unabashedly earnest--Ellery Roberts of Wu Lyfs Love You Forever, Roberts rasps out on the opening track, L Y F--that it is almost unsurprising that Ratking broke down afterwards. It is not always easy to figure out exactly what Ellery Roberts is shouting, but the best Wu Lyf songs, like sweeping We Bros, can make you want to sing along, caught in the madness of weirdo solidarity.
