If you live your life correctly, karma will take care of itself. The reason we do not face up to our environmental problems is because we have human problems. What interests me is the way we look at a particular landscape and take possession of it with our blood and brain.
This is the beginning and the end of life as a human endeavour. The greatest good that can be returned to the landscape is an extraordinary significance for one's own life. Throughout our lives, we should focus on the Earth we remember.
It's not the corporations, it's not the governments, it's us humans. None of us can live in a country where isolation is unimaginable. One can travel into another dimension, but it will not be in sight or in the sound of the spirit.
Countless scientists have visions of a better fate for humanity, of the search for truth and answers, and they have paid for these visions with enormous efforts and, in many cases, with their lives.
We have all seen the BBC documentary about the astonishing toughness of life in the Mariani Trench at 11,000 metres below sea level, where they find life with surprising complexity in the most unlikely of places. Countless united bodies stand in awe before us, some in tears.
The New Scientist had a nice piece on the wire, a good story, but no direct comparison. It didn't matter that it wasn't mentioned in any film, radio or television, let alone on the web.
I smile and bet she is as happy as she would be with a diploma from Patisserie Cordon Bleu. But then I realize that it doesn't make us happy, duhh.
